Tried To Sell Old Gold Jewelry Online
Posted February 25th, 2010 byCategories: Jewelery
I tried to sell old gold jewelry on one of those auction sites but I set the reserve either too high, or there was just no one who liked it because I did not get any bids. I thought about relisting them but my husband told me to just sell them to a local jewelry store and get out what he thinks and be done with it.
Most of the pieces were from my grandmother and they have been just sitting in a box. I kept some of my favorite things to give to my daughter, but I really thought that I could get more money out of these than what I have been offered, which is nothing. I called the local jewelry shop and explained that I was looking to sell old gold jewelry to them and they set up a time for me to come in.
I was a little nervous when the gold buyers from the store took me back to the office and asked me to explain why I wanted to sell the pieces that I had brought with me. I guess that they have to make sure that I understood that they are not a pawn shop and once the gold buyers make me an offer and I take it, the old gold jewelry will more than likely be destroyed.
